our values

Creativity

Creativity is not something you get 'right' or 'wrong' - that's the beauty of it! Your efforts may not lead to success every time, but you’ll be developing skills that will serve you well in the future, using your imagination will help with integral problem-solving. It is a powerful therapeutic motion that stimulates the senses, focuses your mind & improves concentration. What can't be said with words can sometimes be expressed powerfully through creativity.

Wellbeing

Wellbeing can be improved by creativity. It’s a form of relaxation; as you enjoy the moment & take control of a material it will lower your stress levels. We’re centred around ceramics (pottery), one of the most powerful therapeutic art forms as it stimulates one’s sense of touch. The clay warms to one’s body temperature & has a mind of it’s own, forcing relaxation & focus.

Community

Community workshops are a great way to build friendships by sharing practical advice, skills & emotional support. Not only can you learn from one another, but you will broaden your horizons, perhaps by meeting people from other walks of life, discussing current affairs, wellbeing & traditional aesthetics. An important part of the process is to encourage everyone to develop their own creative style; once you’ve learned your creative skills you’ll feel empowered to keep going. The end result? Something physical you can display in your home or community space & take pride in your achievement.

“I followed the thread of art & discovered a path that would allow me to live.”
